Last updated: 2026-08-18

Draft. This document was prepared as a starting point and must be reviewed by the organiser's legal counsel and aligned with the official competition regulations.

1. General

These terms govern entry to and participation in the AstanaTechCup national technology championship. The organiser is SmartHub; the co-organiser is AZ Group.

2. Who may take part

Teams of school and university students who meet the age categories of their chosen discipline may take part. Age limits and maximum team size are stated in each discipline's description and checked when the entry is submitted.

3. Entries and deadlines

Entries are submitted through the form on this site up to and including 30 April 2027. An entry is accepted once the organising committee has confirmed it and the entry fee has been received.

4. Entry fee

The fee is 50 USD per team, paid through the payment provider's secure page. Refund terms are set by the competition regulations; a team withdrawing should notify the organising committee in good time.

5. Regulations and technical inspection

Participants must follow their discipline's regulations. Robots undergo a technical inspection against the requirements for dimensions, weight and safety. Non-compliance may result in exclusion until the issues are resolved.

6. Judging and results

Results are determined by the judging panel according to the criteria published in the regulations. The procedure for lodging and hearing appeals is set out in the competition regulations.

7. Photography and filming

Photography and filming take place at the venue. Consent to publish material featuring your team is requested separately and has no bearing on admission to the competition.

8. Changes

The organiser may adjust the dates, venue and regulations, giving registered teams timely notice through the contact details provided in their entry.
